Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Lots of Talent walking out the door

Recently a lot of good Development and Support talent has left Oracle. Why? Because they are the more knowledgeable employees and have the easiest time finding new employment. After years of no bonuses, raises or advancement they finally realized enough is enough. That leaves Oracle with mostly newbie or inexperienced Romanians, Indians and Mexicans holding down the fort. I have no idea why anybody would buy Oracle product or purchase support other than they are locked into their legacy system. Even then 3rd party support companies are out there (Rimini Street, Spinnaker, etc).

Such a depressing place. Oracle is a waste of your time. Time for everyone to get out.

CM and VK are the biggest two year olds ever and have been left to play with matches and gasoline. They have no idea what they are doing. The ‘boys club’ is real and destroyed the company. ORCL is on life support for a terminal illness that is likely never going to recover. Good luck ‘tardz’ as YOU are the looser not the people that you label as such.

The current management in my GBU, from top to bottom; some of the most unqualified, arrogant and pathetic human beings I’ve ever seen at Oracle in a decade. It’s both depressing and funny. It is no longer possible to give it the old college try or even take pride in saying you work here. Things are bad.

It really all went downhill with the NetSuite acquisition. Nepotism at its finest.

This is all legacy of Safra Catz letting Mark Hurd stick his fingers in it. Really Larry is to blame because he was too busy studying currents in the bay to figure out how to win his sailboat race. The bleeding started in 2015, and he hemorrhage kicked in 2017, where critically key people and those who knew who did what and who to go to for the correct "patch" started jumping ship. The writing was on the wall. Especially when those key people were not replaced, but their responsibilities where pushed down and/or spread out to others who didn't have a clue. Just use all your spare time to get certified Oracle credits from online multiple guess slideshows.

This is the worst I’ve ever seen it here. People are either high on kool aid, completely spaced out and depressed or they just dgaf. I am the last two. It makes me sick to see so many fat rats sitting and making money. It’s a good thing people no longer really go into the office. It would be bad. The people that run my GBU are some of the biggest offenders. They can’t get jobs elsewhere cause companies are right through their resumes made of nothing.
