This is the easiest thing to find out. All banks must register closing of bank locations with the Fed Reserve. Search the web. Good luck
State member banks are required, by section 42
of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act (FDI Act)
(12 USC 1831r-1), to submit a notice of any pro-
posed branch closing to the Federal Reserve at
least ninety days before the date of the proposed
closing.

RSA/RSM’s need to go and be replaced by emails.

If you are in one of the approx 1400 branches that will close, then yes they will be impacted. This was made public knowledge sometime last year (I'd have to find the articles on it. I'm sure a google search would find them). Some already have closed, some won't reopen post COVID restrictions, others will flat out close and some will become "digital only" with no staff.

SMs are as necessary as HR. Waste of money and just red tape and added expenses.

I don’t think they will blanket layoff Service manager 2’s or tellers. I think that if a branch has 2 service managers a 1 & 2 then one of them will be in danger. Also at smaller branches if the service manager were to leave they wouldn’t replace them. I’ve seen in my district a service manager left their role and they will simply not replace them leaving the branch manager with all of the branch as direct reports.
