Heard a rumor that AC roles are being evaluated against the market to determine if current compensation is competitive.
Anyone know anything about this?

My current Manager, not the original two prior Managers, thinks that I can never be good enough to "Meet Expectations" for the Analytic Consultant 4 job title, though my prior two Managers gave me "Meet Expectations" for the same job title. Current Manager is a non technical person.
I see. Thanks for the clarification.
Yes there is AC 6, there is also no AC 1, hence five levels.
Five levels, AC 2-6…
Wait -- isn't there an AC 6?
There are currently 5 levels of AC - which is too many, and as someone else pointed out, the difference in comp between adjacent levels is too small.
The current bonus targets aren't bad, it's the base comp the needs the most attention.
More like roles are being evaluated to determine if they’re necessary! Been there! When my role was evaluated for “compensation purposes”, I was laid off within two months.
LOL! that'll take at least two years. I was once a Web Developer ... then they made me a Software Engineer ... about a 2 year process...
Now I'm an AC ... I've essentially done the same job since I got here. I just sit here doing my thing while the pointy heads change my title.
whateva.... same day ... different sh _ _ ...
@1pwy, About time. Analytic consultants salary bands weren’t remotely competitive and most haven’t been increased in years. The bands from level are tightly compressed - a joke when you look ate the huge jump between other job families’ sr assoc and officer levels, not to mention the leap to SRI officer, a jump that all but requires
If you live everyday like it’s your last, some day you will be right.
ACs are overpaid for what they dont accomplish tbh.
Simple updates and minor manipulations of old dashboard tech doesnt warrant 140k.
You data science aligned ones really need to get some training on data engineering concepts.
A lot of your stuff is unusable
@zgs, that would only be when forced by stupid policies or incompetent Technology folks trying stifle real work.
my experience working with them is most seem overpaid and just update metadata/paperwork.
As an AC 4, I wish!!!
I know some ACs that were restructured into EIT with new titles and lower bonus ranges. Notably they received no bump in base salary pay either.
No, but I know it happens periodically. I actually got a $13k out of cycle pay raise.
It wasn't driven by HR. It was driven by my manager and the next level up as the salary range was stagnant compared to the market causing issues with retention and hiring.
HR is f--king useless.
