Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Commercial Lending Teams

In my market we have a commercial team of 4. But the commercial team stopped lending in our market for 12 months and they also were working from home for the last 15 months. While other banks are writing a ton of commercial loans. So my question is if the bank stopped commercial lending in my market and the lenders were working from home what exactly were they doing while getting paid way too much money? The bankers, tellers and branch managers are stuck taking on the whole work load while the overpaid commercial team sits on phone calls at home all day and tries to justify their worth. These people that want to continue to work at home so they can wear pajamas and get paid to do nothing are going to have a rude awakening when they come back to the bank.

I'm in a part of the bank that is truly remote. We find the people complaining about having to go back to be pretty hypocritical. Branch employees: we support you, and we hope you know the problem is the individuals that are making it seem like their commute times and gas budgets are more important than yours.

That is why they are all now leaving.
