You can't say "technology" and have anyone know. There are thousands of people in technology and dozens and dozens of teams doing different (often overlapping) things for the various LOBs.
Can we just list the teams impacted ?
Yes, I received a 60 non-working days notice today. Soon, I will receive a displacement package.
36% of my team cut in Technology. Waiting to see what the other support teams end up looking like. We lost both deadwood and heavy weights. Disappointing but we move on.

Look at what Jack Welch did at GE and he was considered the CEO of the century. This is just BAU.
Two lost in my small group. We were already short staffed. This is bad. Heard other groups hit hard also. This is not fake news. I am not sure how this company can run projects when no one is left to do the work.
Layoffs while planning massive stock buybacks and raising the dividend because WFC is sitting on a massive pile of cash.
All of this could have ethically happened through hiring freezes and attrition. But that doesn't fatten the wallet of the psychopaths at the top.

@qje. Explain “interim folks.” Are they contractors? Offshore consultants? If full time, they are not interim by any means.

Only 11am? Both April and May rounds of layoffs were completed by this time in Tech.
If you haven't gotten a meeting notice by now, you aren't getting laid off today.
Technology definitely impacted (CTO Org). At least know 2 folks who got hit today and its only 11 am. This is real, for folks impacted. For everyone else, just a game or stat or some mudslinging contest.

Just curious but what's wrong with your manager asking you to schedule a one-on-one if you want? I don't want to waste my time or his on one-on-ones. I know what my job is and if I want something, I'll call. If you feel the need for one-on-ones, schedule it.

@txo. That’s what you get with failed Chase leadership. They did the same thing there, which is why they were job hunting. But their buddies hired them again anyway once they talked their way into here.

My manager makes us schedule 1:1s if we want them. Its such a lazy approach to people and leadership. They don't give a damn. They are hiring new azz clowns into this company who have ZERO business leading people let alone a goat f-c@ing rodeo.

maybe I'll send out a random meeting invite to my team today just to mess with them. although I find it odd how little people meet with their managers in some teams based on what I read here. while my team isn't massive I try to meet with them every week or 2.

In our department for all QA people received email Org Announcement at 10am. What is that mean?
