Good news everyone. There will now be only 1-2 reps on the floor at a majority of stores now. At any given time you could walk into a Verizon and more than likely one person will be there to help you. GL

Checking in for fun, this stuff y'all are mad about is how AT&T stores run currently, and it works. Y'all just getting mad it's not what you want and how you want. I get it upper leadership is trash and the commission is trash, and y'all could lose your jobs to indirect any day now, but from experience let me tell you, only having 2 people working and then being allow to essentially tell people to go away is NICE. it's basically sponsored cherry picking without lying!

and entitled customer base "guests " We call customers many other things but not guests, well anyway,
Our location has been open 10 to 8 since October. The problem was exposed with the advent of this ambiguous (read the small fine print) trade in your broken phone promos on a premium unlimited plan. I never imagined there were so many limited gb out there. With 45 to 90 minute wait times and the volatile nature of the customers waiting you would think a riot will break out at any second. These people also believe we will stand for whatever amount of time to stare at their phone during content restore which is ludicrous, thats only when they know their ID and password which is another adventure that wastes time. If they have access to the My Verizon app I show them how to order a phone because it's faster than our dysfunctional pos system that actually worked 6 mos ago. And the touchless ( mindless) retail were you send a link to customers phone, try that with numerous broken phones a day also the amount of iPhone customers that don't know were their notifications are! The promos can't continue to be this aggressive and ambiguous in understaffed stores.( by the way side note: our 2 Sms still break up the day they work by leaving early or coming in late thus not putting in a 8 hr shift) At this point I don't blame them in these working conditions.

What’s funny is we have been told additional help is coming within a month or so. So yeah by the time the newbies arrive a few reps will be leaving so its back to square one. It will be even worse because replacing a seasoned rep with a newbie is a disaster at this point. Imagine with all the iPad issues how a newbie will handle it ....SShowwwww

So i work in a corporate location and 10-8 has been the norm for about a year now for my entire 5 store district. We are extremely
understaffed in all the stores but have never closed early or shut down because of it. When we have more then 1 customer in que the manager alerts anyone coming in the door we are only available by appointment for rest of day. This is when we only have 1 mgr and 2 reps on which going into the summer is going to get sticky. Verizon should be ashamed of not preparing in advance but door management is key for the forseeable future. Order online bee otches because you no longer hold value coming into the store.

What I don't understand is they say two employees have to be on the sales floor at all times. If only two people are working you aren't even allowed to go to the back leaving one person alone or even use the bathroom at that point.

Yup this is accurate. My store will be running 3 reps and one manager a day to support the new hours. Those last 2 hours with 2 bodies will be fun! I’ve started preparing by setting longer wait time expectations for guest. 1st guest check in, “ it will be 30-45 min”, 2nd guest, “ it will be 1hr”.
