Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Legit. If you want a mini Vacation.

Step 1: Call your doctor.
Step 2: Tell them you are having ANY covid symptoms and they'll send you for a test. Tests take days to come back.
Step 3: Fail the RTO.
Have a few days paid vacation.

Fu*k em. They cut our pay. Make it up one way or another.

I've done it a couple times over the last year. No one is the wiser. You really have to sell it though. If you're good you can pull it off. I've gotten some bigger home improvement jobs done doing this.

I don't give a flying you know what. I'll deal with a queue for you if you want to do it. Most of our customers are near death anyway. Once the boomers die out retail is done. Just trying to milk it as long as I can. I want a union, but don't think that'll happen because of all of the Kool-aid drinkers. Yeah, unions aren't what they used to be but still could be helpful in our current situation.

This is the only way to not be over worked. Every time I try to take days off I get glared at by management because they know everyone else in at the store will suffer with wait times

This is the way OP. Tried and true. The people that aren't smart enough to see the forest for the trees, I don't trust. Sap this company for all you can while following the credo. You owe them nothing, and all they did was bend everyone over that was loyal.

Back when we actually had full staff three people could call in in a day and it wouldn't matter just meant more sales for you... When you ride on the edge you get burned and that isn't reps fault.

@pax+1bkDx8J1 When it comes right down to it peers only GAF about themselves so I would never let that deter me from taking time off. Verizon has made it miserable to work in the stores. Lack of staff with zero empathy and appreciation for those who do stick around. The retail stores have seen a record use of sick time and employees being out for extended periods of time because of getting burned out. This doesn’t even include all the covid reasons as well. I can tell you right now my mental health and family is worth far more then of me being out is causing staffing issues. If some want to abuse this benefit then so be it Verizon has abused those of us working in the store so payback is a bee itch.
