All day I just sit in my chair clerking the day away. It’s basically one customer after another after another. We are always understaffed and there is really no short or long term plan to improve that. Retail in general can’t even find people to apply let alone hire anyone. Contribution standard say what ? Ain’t nobody got time for that ! My job is secure. Retail is untouchable at the moment. They are at the mercy of us even showing up for work. Good luck trying to coach and go over a report when everyone is stressing out because of being overworked.

Sounds like Verizon has you by the ba--s right where they want you.
Their plan is definitely a calculated one. It would be so easy to fix the culture. They don’t want to. They want you to suffer! And our customers too, clearly. It’s actually really funny if you think about it.

Verizon needs to start an employee retention program before 4th quarter gets here or things are going to even messier. Let’s start with a 20% raise to our hourly and a retention bonus. This type of thing is going on all over in retail stores across the country.
100% accurate. As ridiculous as this job has become be thankful us front line workers are sticking around through the shortage.
