Are they doing Spans & Layers layoffs in Risk and Compliance, and if so, when? It’s like crickets with the new Chief Compliance Officer- so quiet. There is so much duplication, redundancy and incompetency in the Risk organization. Also, to be competitive with the banks, they need to cut at least 1 layer of management. Other big banks have 5 layers of management, not 7, so issues get escalated promptly to the Board and CEO.

Don’t hate San Francisco. Rooting for it to come back in the schools, in cleaning up the fe--s and tent cities on the sidewalks, returning to fiscally responsible leadership and to stop making us live in garbage. By far the most dysfunctional major city in the country, even worse than NYC.
@1pvl+1bbTq417 What did SF ever do to hurt your poor widdle delicate feelings? Maybe start harping on the failed Charlotte harlot public school system instead? Far more employees there at this point. That sounds stupid, right? Not as stupid as your psychotic inexplicable hatred for SF.
Enterprise Testing is the worst of the worst. Everyone up from the line Manager does NOTHING but read reporting all on the backs of the testers. TESTING ALSO DOES THE SAME THING AUDIT DOES AND NOW FRONT LINE CONTROLS. What is the point?
@gbj+1bbTq417 Productivity would soar. So would fines in a year or two.
Admittedly the right answer is in the middle, there is plenty of fat to cut in risk in terms of layers, duplication, and just employees who aren’t great, or aren’t in the right role due to so many years of re-orgs.
However, with so many regulatory deliverables still years away, how can you convince regulators that laying off people in risk will make it happen faster or better? That’s a hard sales pitch, even for an expert cross seller.
Eventually there will be huge cuts in risk to right size the org, but only once there is significant progress on the remediations, until then, my guess is some low performers and some useless middle managers get cut, that’s about it.
Corp Risk is useless.
If we fired everyone there tomm, the bank's efficiency and productivity will go up. Way up.
Yes, if you are a part of Wells Fargo. Nobody is immuned
No no. It's sink or swim in a bunch of bullshi! chaos.
It already happened last week in my department. Our department reorganized since most of our jobs were outsourced. Not so sure if I like my new role yet. Training feels rushed. I guess its sink or swim.
