Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

No layoffs today.

Rip skipped July and is predicting august 19. Any other insights?

Yep. If work requires a physical location of any kind, they are at least considering axing it. I get that our real estate portfolio is bloated, but wildly hacking away at it doesn't seem like the best approach. CPG is going to be a much smaller group someday, but they've built a good sized empire so it'll take a while.

You know they are planning on clearing out folks before RTO because they gave up all that office space in the US for a reason.

I say in the US because we know they have a nice new building in India.

Usually end of quarter is the chosen time for another wave. If it does happen in August, it's probably so they can fit a Q4 wave in in October. Big corporations generally avoid massive layoffs at Christmas, so right before Christmas would be "better".

The 19th is a solid date from what I've heard.

They don't care or worry about who leaves. You leave, they find someone else to replace you that fast and you're not ever thought about again.
I thought the next big date would be September but August sounds about right.

They just need to worry about their best and brightest leaving and working for competitors. D&I cram down brainwashing, enough wokeism to gag on, overloaded Indian id--t hiring, job demotions, lack of job growth, playing with the 401k, won't lead to success.
