Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Surprise RTO is forced Attrition

In order to accelerate attrition they are forcing people back to the office in hopes they will quit and not replace them or have to pay severance if they are laid-off. This is how you lose good people, particularly at the lower salary range. Delta may slow this RTO but it will eventually happen.

Probably, but for now the mission is Wells Fargo cleansing. If you've been with the company for more than 5 years, look out.

It happened everywhere else they went all in with offshore.

It will be the next guy who says that. Chuckles will have already cashed out and his buddies will go with him.

We’ll leave. They won’t replace us. It will be harder for those left behind. More people will leave. Wells Fargo will eventually get to that magic 200k employee headcount ,or lower, then they’ll say, “I guess we need more people”.🤷🏻

My gosh, how many people are going to post this EXACT SAME observation on this site? Do they read any posts except their own? YES RTO is happening whether employees like it or not. And YES management will generally be OK with anyone leaving because of it, to get attrition without severance.

Can we please just move on? No matter how long folks keep gnashing their teeth over this — won’t change a thing.
