Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Overnight team is terrible

The overnight team don’t put new inventory in the right departments. They put top stock wherever they want and management knows this and won’t fix it. It’s hurting our sales when sales associates and internet fulfillment associates can’t find product. Issue has been ongoing for a long time. And we’re struggling for sales. Gee, wonder why? Terrible.

Also sounds like my old store. Old because I quit 3 months ago and couldn't take the BS anymore.

I would come in and find all kinds of top stock issues. Tried to tell the night supervision and he is like we were short handed last night or it was the new guy. I got tried of all the excuses.

I would find labels pulled off or freight put where ever they felt like it. Total cluster FK

Sounds like my store. Product can literally be anywhere. For that matter, my store still has topstock that never got relocated after the massive reset that occurred several months earlier. Boxes stacked 2 to 4 columns deep in topstock with no idea what's behind the front boxes (you can tell from looking up from underneath the racking that their not the same item as the boxes aren't even the same size). No accountability whatsoever.

A few departments got approved for overnights to try to fix their areas but then a few weeks later it is back to being a total joke again. Combine that with the edict to never waist empty shelf space, so tags get pulled and some other temporary or clearance item gets put in the out of stock items place. When the item that actually belongs there does arrive it typically gets thrown in top stock. The cleaning product aisle is by far the worst. Occasionally MST will get assigned to a particular bay and reset it back to planogram but many of them just pencil whip it instead.

The icing on the cake is when customers walk up to you holding their smart phone showing an item they are looking for that shows both a location and a high positive quantity and not only is the product not located where the app says but you can't even locate it in top stock. Some customers are grateful for the assistance but many just say "don't worry about it" (or mutter something worse) and walk out empty handed.
