Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

I’m curious

Has anybody else had their GM call their friends/family up to come in and add esim “ghost lines” to their account to hit quota? Our store has been horrendously slow as of the past few months, and instead of our management going to bat for us regarding aggressive quotas and a lack of head count, our GM always throws us under the bus.

I’m just about done with Verizon as a company. I’m updating my resume and searching for opportunities as we speak, but I was wondering if anybody else had interesting stories about their TWO DOT OH experience.

IT'S A TRAP! This is so sad that they are resorting to this. Not even out of temptation for a large commission check, but out of survival. Times have changed indeed. Just do what you can the right way. Better off getting let go for not hitting unattainable metrics than getting caught for false churn for just hourly nowadays. The case would be in your favor (Wells Fargo). It's easier for the "Boss" to paint you as the crook "Fall Guy" when you do this nonsense. Their hands will be easily washed at the end of the day..

Better go look for another job before corporate security shows up and clears out the store. Not sure why people never learn. This type of behavior is self destructive and never ends well.

What are people not understanding?

We DONT CARE ABOUT QUOTA ANYMORE 😂

I could be the lead contributer at my store with 60-80% but soon as those surveys hit, it was all for nothing . Why do people stress and work themselves to death when you could easily just get one to two customers , lay back and chill, do their little upgrade and spend two hours with them by transferring their data. Then bam 1/4 of your day is done , nice and easy.
The days of me busting my a$$ juggling 4 customers to upswell and get these new lines are over ALL DUE TO RIS AND NPS.

Union getting worse with posts. This one sux.

Someone posted a side by side comparison between what ATT w/ union and Verizon w/ out is. Best argument ever saw for the union. ATT getting treated better. Use that over and over from now on. I don't even like unions but pretty eye opening.

My question is, why would anyone even bother to hit quota at the end of the day comission would still be the same payout if you did hit quota or not
