Years ago, we all signed up for the role of “solution specialist” with a specific set of responsibilities, mainly to sell.
Recently they have been grooming us all to be “key-holders” to handle a large portion of managerial responsibilities. We all get safe codes, sap codes, keys, handle inventory and cash management. If we add that to our workload, we barely have time to do our job.
It’s easy to predict the direction Verizon is going…Managers will be let go and reps will be forced to do their job WITHOUT MANAGERIAL PAY. How the F**K is this legal.
Corporate: “Hey Mr/Mrs rep, we want you to be a door greeter, want you to check in inventory, sell credit cards and tmp, and close the store down, but HEY we’re going to pay you LESS by giving you unattainable quotas and we’re going to sc--w all your hard work with a few bad surveys at the end of the month”
