They lied about the survey. They do not care about any employee. They care about butts in seats and do not trust employees. Why? This feels like an office from our grandfathers era. Why does face time matter to these old men? They never spend time with real employees anyway. I was thinking of something. We say it is nice that we are receiving the extra money but a thousand $ per employee only equals about $25,000 to the company. It is nothing. It is no sacrifice. If they gave employees five thousand dollars each it could really help some people but it would still be nothing. Each leader makes so much more in just one month’s salary, not to mention the bonuses. Think about it. They are disgusting people. We and members pay the price. I hope more employees leave in droves and complain about it publicly for a long time to come.

If you haven’t read it; read the Craines article from a few months ago that lists the Executive’s salaries. It’s absurd & the board President makes nearly $9M/year. For-profit board President’s make 500K at best. What a generous company!
Delta variant cases rising everywhere. And all the employees who arent getting vaccinated for various reasons. The next few months will be intriguing.
To the other person’s point - it was roughly a $25M payout. But the point is still well made. Survey was a distraction and waste of time. If they think $1,000 will satisfy people who now know they can go elsewhere and work remotely, or way more flexibly, why stay? It is not worth it. For the record, Lesar made $9 million last year. For what, I’m wondering? Add up the salaries of senior executives and you’ll be just as mad as if they paid out only $25000 to employees. Who wants to start a betting pool as to when employees will be told to go back home due to a spike in delta variant cases!
I think your math is off by ~$25M
I agree. They lied about the survey. While I am grateful for the $1000, it’s not much compared to what the management and higher ups make. Some of our pay is well below the industry standards and it’s harder now especially with so much of inflation due to the pandemic. I do like the company for a lot of reasons. It is the pay and the lack of flexibility that is disappointing. I suppose there will be a lot of turnover in the coming weeks.
Hear ya.
A lieder is a song.
It makes up a story.
Which is a lie.
