Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Where to go?

I'm wondering, where are the people who were laid off or those who are smartly walking away finding new positions? Are you just looking for anything at any retailer or is there a good alternative to Follett that I'm missing? I just want to know what's available in case my name gets on that dreaded list.

Check out Publix. You may have to start at the bottom but the pay is great for management. Assistant Department Manager makes about 45,000. Department Manager makes about 60,000. Store Manager 90-100,000.

  1. J. Maxx is hiring and their a solid company. You just Gotta start putting yourself out there and a Match will come. You look more attractive while you’re working and searching even nowadays. No excuses to why you’re not interviewing since most of them are still done virtually. Just remember you’re a hard worker and there are lots of companies looking for people that are willing to work. They’re willing to pay as well. It might not be as much as you’re making now but everybody is in the same boat. If you don’t pull the trigger now When will you? Follett staffing is way down and yet they don’t change their numbers. They’re lucky if they have 7000 employees at this point and that’s probably high. I just got out and I am happy and appreciated. Somehow that feels better than anything else right now. I even got flowers on my first day.
