Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

"Can you fix my Facebook?" "No? How about I physically as----t you then?"

When did we become the one-stop-shop tech support? My day is filled with a-hats that start out by telling my how "technologically illiterate they are, HAHA"

It has never been this bad for the 3 years I have worked here. At least 70% of our traffic is this kind of absurdity.

I was recently threatened by an older gentleman that I am lucky he doesn't put me on the ground and stomp my (exploitative) head. Why? Because I informed him I could not infact recover his locked facebook account.

When did it become acceptable to threaten physicals violence against someone for something like this? This hasn't happened in 3 years.

To add icing to the cake we are a store where most days I find myself alone. RIP

What I want to know, has anyone else been threatened with violence over things we aren't even there to do? Where did people get the nerve to behave this way? I'm out soon and not looking back. The populous in my area is becoming more hostile.

It's not acceptable to ever feel you have to allow or accept threats of physical violence. The customer should be told to leave. If they refuse or escalate further ring the silent alarm.

I am sorry that happened to you. I hope there is some sort of "incident report" you can fill out to keep track of these types of issues to show management that employee safety is worth the cost of always having 2 people in the store at all times.

Call the police on the we customers that threaten you with physical harm. Force VZ and HR to have to recognize how much of this deal goes on. Might make Mr. Techno exact think twice about threatening people off the cuff too.

They think anything in their phone is your problem. Since they’re upgrading a na--d phone, all of a sudden you must transfer everything for them, including all of their accounts/apps, plus sign back into them.

It’s been like this since forever because vzw encouraged it and then decided it was a waste of our time. Unfortunately customers have not caught on lol.

This is nothing new. People have always come in for absurd reasons. No Mr. Customer, we don’t have a database filled with gmail and Apple ID passwords. Can you make and receive calls? Does texting work? Can you open a browser and search the internet without being on WiFi? Yes, yes, yes? Then this isn’t a problem with Verizon.

Nothing but ®etards come into stores anymore. Intelligent people shop online. What do you expect?

It's because the only people left returning to stores are the boomers, for example I only saw one customer today under the age of 40 some days you won't see anybody besides retired elderly and the boomers, because of the pandemic everybody else became confident and competent to shop online or digitally. Most of the time the younger people even come to the store it's because they actually have to.

Look at the people that come to the store and look at what comes in. This ain't going to last long
