Just curious….where do people go when they leave Follett? Is it a little better, much better, or about the same? I have a sinking suspicion that things are not looking up here….

Spent way too long working at Follett. Went years without a raises, watched as id--ts got promoted only to eventually leave. The dept staff changed every 6 months, 15 years and every year someone was new.
Worked 9 plus hours only to be let go. New company has given me 3 raises in under a year. Life is better away from Follett.

Why try to keep fixing something that is broken? Why torment yourself trying to overcome something that will never change? Just move on, as one door closes another one opens. Here's your chance to find something you love to do or always wanted to do. Instead of looking at what a waste Follett was in your life, look at it as a blessing. Be thankful for being involved in such a toxic enviorment that all you want to do is GET OUT!!!! You will forever look back and be greatful for some of the great people you've worked with and you'll be saddened to see the one's who are still there. That's the real irony, the one's who are wasting precious days/ weeks/years of their lives in that cesspool. They will eventually leave too, disgusted and disgraced that their loyaly got them nothing but the shaft. Life is short, don't waste another day looking out the window. Open the window, jump out and close it behind you. It will be one of the best decisions of your life.

I went into university admin, and I know several others who have done similarly.
So much better. I stayed way too long. I loved working for follett on my campus for a long time. The final 2 years were 2 of the worst years of my life.
This is a question you have to answer yourself. Are you ok at Follett with the way you're being treated? One big box store (begins with a C) paid $2.00 per hour to all associates who worked during the Pandemic hazard pay. No one was forced to work and no one was laid off. At some point you have to evaluate are you OK with how you're treated and if the answer is no, to you foresee things getting better? Then move forward.
I see a really badly run company that has made really bad decisions and has not held the decision makers accountable. What do you see?
