Thread regarding GlobalFoundries layoffs

WE ALL NEED TO GIVE A "0 RATING" FOR THE UPCOMING GLINT SURVEY

Please spread the word to your coworkers. Woman in HR was talking about how there is a buffer what senior leadership sees from employees. That buffer is Mackenzie. The company brought in to lean and cost cut at the expense of the employees and just to kiss the butts of the company executive. The GLINT survey goes all the way up to the CEO if they are negative.

If you got a 2% or lower raise it is your duty to give an all 0 rating on this survey but make sure in every comment box you write the following;

"My rating is not a reflection on the people i work with or my direct manager. This is a reflection on the unfair annual compensation i have received this year after a record profit year for global."

Why are we still with Mackenzie? They’re consultants who have consistently ended up in controversy throughout the last year. They are shady.

Unionization should be done through social media with an alias (as to not be traced back to the organizer). Use Facebook search to find all people who listed themselves as employees of global foundries. Since this can’t be done on global foundries property, utilizing social media will be most effective. Good luck. I’ll be starting the ball rolling

important not to forget the outcry on the GLINT survey against our archaic annual review process;

for a few years straight we "transformed" our annual review process due to the outcry of dismay it causes...
Finally people (including myself) said "no, we aren't looking to transform it, get rid of it, the only reason it exists is to allow managers to be too lazy to actually know what we are working on and do a true merit based review"

in response to that in the final year the CEO said at the all hands "We heard your feedback, but we need the review system, go kick rocks"

Now, Remote work was done for over a year, and there's a mandatory return in Fab8, and people are leaving in droves because the CEOs flex work message does not at all align with what F8 managers are practicing (essentially no remote work at all)

The business, the management team, and culture is toxic. It's time to leave if you can, or be saddled with the work of your coworkers who decided to leave when the timing was right.
I heard a radio ad for GF hiring techs the other day and couldn't help but laugh. Reap what you sow

If we, say, wanted to organize. How would one go about doing it? Hypothetically speaking, of course.

It's all a game of numbers with them. They think you're replaceable if they walk over you with cr---y compensation (merit and AIP). Seems miscalculated, though, since they're playing radio ads in the capital region seeking techs. Next up: sign on bonuses for basic tech roles.
