Conductor riding a monster train was doing a rear end pick up and thrown off the car and lost a foot. Nothing like that has happened in over 20 years here. Injuries are up, safety is out the window. Now they are doubling up oil and ethanol trains. I was on a doubled up ethanol train that was 13,000 feet long and 24,000 tons with DP in the middle. Slack action was unbelievable. It is just a matter of time before on of those rolling bo--s goes on the ground in your area and vaporizes a small community. I am sure Cindy Sanborn doesn't own property next to the tracks. If she did, she would probably care. Take comfort in the fact that Jim Squires and Cindy Sanborn are making money though. Check out that stock price.

It sounds to me like the railroad is just getting back to its roots. In the old days death and limb loss were an everyday thing. Stop wining and get back to work., this is the cost of doing business. Why my grandpappy never complained when co workers took a dirt nap for company profit.

This is a far cry from Conrail, old head. The old Conrail guys that are still left have told me they have never run trains like these. You probably worked out of my terminal. If you were a hogger, I may have even been your conductor. It bothers me that the two of you are complaining on partisan lines. I just mentioned we had an amputation....the first in years and there is finger pointing. The finger pointing should be squarely centered on Cindy Sanborn and Jim Squires. The one partisan thing I will say is that I have called Sharrod Brown and left messages. He has failed to even discuss the problem. He won't even call me back.
What does the current administration have to do with this ? They have only been in office since January 20th! I did 42 years on Conrail and then NS. It’s been a sh-t show since NS took over!! I think that you sir are a mo--n!!
They are as incompetent as the duo in the Whitehouse! It's a matter of time before something bad happens on their watches. The issue is, they don't care.
