Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

I had a training re: staffing.

What a joke this company is. The gave us SMs a training about kool aid drinking talk tracks for when the reps complain about the staffing. "why don't we close down? there are only 3 people working" "how come the business down the street has so many employees" A Taco Bell is better staffed then us. One of the responses was "I hear what you're saying and I understand your concern, I'll get back to you" They are so ignorant they don't even realize that SMs daily duties are impacted by this staffing. They think we will just drink kool aid and eat it up LOL

Reps and managers in my district have stopped caring. Everyone just shows up to make it through the day. No one cares about numbers because their is no money to be made, and we all know this month was a fail by verizon commission team. FYI that training was hilarious, who actually talks to people like that. I want to see someone up too say a line like that to a customer. Haha

I was in retail for years, years ago. Different time. Really enjoyed it. Posts like these ki-l me. Sad. Times change. But it seems like it could be better managed than what it's become. Perhaps it's that so many people above retail GM's are so out of touch. Like my former retail director that rarely visited the field.

Sh-t!! My Sms have had enough, they are as pi---d as the rest of us, they are basically a rep now, they have to be on the floor selling all day, no time for anything managerial, reports , returns everything is stacking up and both my Sms have said fu-k it!! The kool aid dried up a long time ago, the company has ki---d morale and a lot of good people are getting out.
