Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Verizon HIRE more HELP!

This is beyond bad. Customers waiting an hour plus daily to get help. Constantly turning away sales everyday. Already pi---d off for wait time, there goes RIS scores. Everyone is fed up, nobody is trying, nobody cares to.

We cut like 5 great employees because we were over head count. However we had adjusted hours for along time because of understaffing. Now they extended our hours. wat

Had a part-time rep of 1.5-2 years quit today by handing in his things at the end of his shift. After another long week of being asked to work 5 days and only getting part time commission but being full 5 bars on contributions. This person had enough and said it was too much stress, not enough staff and being overworked. I didn’t disagree and offered my congratulations. That person left with a smile of their face.

Running with myself(SM) and 2 reps each day this weekend... wish me luck. Today was a battle. No lunches or brakes. No one yelled at us so that was a plus. Asked some newly hired part-timers(within 4months) if they wanted to work extra. Their response, “ I only signed up for 24 hrs and that’s all I’m going to work”. Makes sense and can’t argue with that. That is the job they applied for.

There are more people working at Chipotle because they have better products and are less expensive than anything in a Verizon store.

Best bet is to go to work and help one customer at a time. Be honest with the customers and give them options. Appointment, wait forever and ispu. We have to get beyond our good old verizon days because they are gone. Start over in your mind and ask yourself, do I want to get paid for doing this with a good attitude and gave fun with my customers or do I want to be miserable? Just do your best but don't over due it. Don't care more than corporate does. We can't make it better... we can only do what is right. Don't get me wrong, the job still shouldn't be like this but brush it off or it will impact you in ways you don't even know. It's just a job. Don't let it ruin your day.

They aren’t going to hire too many PT employees until they fully announce what stores are next for third party takeover. Plus it’s hard to hire people at 10 dollars an hour when you have people making 22. It basically fits into fu-k the the 40 hour people mentality. They just don’t really care about what is actually going on in the corporate stores. If it’s to crowded or slow they jhope customers head down to the third parties. Get them used to poor customer service.

We've had several bad nps scores just this month about wait times and lack of staff, not one about a rep, all bi-----g about verizon not having enough staff and having to wait forever when that come in. Do you think Verizon will take those surveys out of our nps, nope they are still valid. Just open my wallet and steal some more money you f'ing screws!

Okay, okay. The comment on more people working in a Chipotle than in a Verizon store is true. Many businesses have more employees present throughout the course of a day.

The most powerful thing a leader can do is admit they are wrong. Would love to see KB admit that changing things by announcing through up to speed is maybe inconsiderate and insensitive to front line retail workers. They should receive this information from their leader and KB should trust leaders in the business to deliver it. This form of communicating major changes has continued since the commission structure announcement (i.e. we are wide open come on back).

But they leadership shows how they behave. It’s not hidden. Either find some light to be positive or move on. This website is called the layoff, not the b—ch and moan fest.

They won't hire more help see my post couple threads down they just gave the managers all the training with Kool-Aid based talk tracks to speak at reps when reps complain about the staffing. I find it hilarious that there are more people wrapping burritos at Chipotle than there are people working in a Verizon store
