Is BDC RM a good role? What’s the base and commission, it seems so desirable wanna see if it’s worth the hype...

Everyone I know who went to BDC RM was a failed salesperson. People who have no idea how to prospect or close deals continuously get promotions into the BDC RM role- so effectively it’s the blind leading the blind. BDC’s tend to resort to asking for opportunities when they’re behind and the metrics are completely fluffed across the board. You can create a nice career for yourself in this org but know that you won’t learn anything valuable and if you leave Oracle you’ll be at a disadvantage
Is BDC RM a good role?
No. Neither is a sales associate or any other type of Oracle sales role. Look at it this way - in both cases you have to push products that are market failures. That sounds awful because it is awful.
Why even take that job when you can make same/more in a sales role with less BS?
Were you a BDC? If not then you know it the metrics can be wishy washy... Your territory could be great or complete Jack. I have some friends that went that route and they say Oracle say it is pretty locked in at 75k Base + 40k bonus.
