I assumed fear was the predominant energy in this company as well, but I couldn’t believe the problem was so big here. Fear overpowers trust every time and I'm losing the will to work here, no matter how happy I am with some other things. When I'm doing my work, I do not feel joy or satisfaction, but the fear that I will lose my job if I do not do everything perfectly. I've only been here two years.
I hope it wasn't like this before.

Poor sweet baby, get out while you still have some innocence left. The oracle world is too cruel for you...
As-----s like this abound in Oracle. They have no appreciation for real work or for decent human beings. They are the reason why Oracle has gone so far downhill. Oracle is a dump, rats scavenging for what they can pick from the debris or from someone else's carcass.

Oracle was always a high stress workplace but people put up with it as they could make big $. Then Mark Hurd came along and cut everyone’s compensation and bonuses and the top performers bailed out in droves.

You are twenty plus years late, Oracle was not like that before, but been like that for years now, time to look for other companies now before it is too late.
I used to work for TK, several levels down, though my boss had been in the room with him. I heard several reports that he ruled meetings by basically physical intimidation. The higher powers must have been aware of this and we're fine with it.
Yes.
That was simple. wasn't it?
I personally didn't care and refused to let it bother me and the reason it did't bother me is because I figured if they cut me loose, I'll go find something else to do. they cut me loose, I found something else to do.
What did you say your employee ID was again?
HR?
Yes. Read any of Ellison's bios, or really, anything written about him in the last 40 years. He's a psychopath, and it made him a billionaire. It's at the heart of the company culture. If you can't stand the heat, it's time to get out of the kitchen.
You must be new here . . .
