Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

What it's like working retial.

Customer comes in, ask if they have a business or personal account? Ask if they know anyone with a business. Customer says they just want a new phone. Figure out what their eligibility is and what deals you can offer. Say you will build a quote and go check on the phone. Build a quote moving them to Get More Unlimited, add Verizon protect insurance, and Protect home. Customer bill increases almost $65. Show the quote to customer, customer decides to go to best buy.

Managers and leaders, "good job anon, wouldn't want someone NOT taking vzp home, getmore, vzp protect, that would look bad for our numbers"

Opened customers account got survey "8/10 rep was great and informative, however verizon is too expensive"

Go home to wife, "how was work did you win? "yes honey I got them to go away"

OP forgot to tell their customer that Verizon wants us to sell you the works, not setup your phone or put on a screen and then pay us on the experience. We have to tell them about the survey especially because VZ doesnt want us to.

It just sounds like you are not presenting it properly. Show them what they came in for with protect, then have 1-2 additional quotes with the add ons (hopefully you actually have a reason to present them). I’m a SS of over 4 years and my numbers are good.

You missed the part where you get treated with a pip by doing what they told you to do. And you wonder what happened to the behavior based approach they talked about at the beginning of the pandemic

How intelligent people buy phones and service in 2021:

1) Turn on computer go to Amazon.com

2) Select unlocked phone for $150 and put in cart and checkout.

3) Go to Mint Mobile website and order SIM card with a year of service on it for $150.

4) 1 days later phone arrives.

5) 2 days later SIM arrives.

6) Put SIM in new phone and turn on.

7) Use transfer my data app to move everything from old phone to new phone.

8) Enjoy new phone for $15 a month. The end.

The people that run retail haven't left their blue jeans zoom for over a year and a half.

Happens all the time, but Verizon can't seem to figure out why att and T–Mobile are bringing on customers and Verizon is losing them. The people at the top just don't get it and Rms and Dms are kool aid drinking yes men and women. Hopefully at some point,us, the people that do this daily and hear the customers, will have some input.
