My ARD was $120 and I had low signal. My coworker had $96 ARD and good signal. I was given a warning and told next month I could be written up!!! I was told that I have to hit a moving target based on my total transactions. The more people I help and the harder I work the more of everything I need to sell. My effort creates my quotas. If I sell a $19.97 20w apple charger to an ispu then it hits my transaction total. That transaction brings down every signal bar by raising my needs. You think that selling an accessory would always help? You're wrong. Selling that $19.97 accessory also hurts me and moves me lower in accessory signal too since the average accessory sale per transaction is closer to $50!!!! Since I didn't sell PT and only a $19.97 accessory it also now ups the total sales dollars I need for PT too. Split a transaction because something doesn't bundle correctly in our pos system then that doubles each one of my signal category needs to that customer. With no fault of my own I can sell all the correct items in all the right categories and the POS system gets me written up or fired. So half of us are at risk every month because if you are under the floating average and have low signal performance. This is not the bottom 20% but everyone below the moving average!! Matter of fact, 2 out of every 3 people (otherwise known as the majority) can be "under the average". If I sell 5 PGAs and another rep sells 4 PGAs and another 9 PGAs then as a 'team' we sold 18 for an average of 6. Guess what!!! Two of us have low signal. So if 1/3 of all reps have above average results in a category then this impacts 2/3 of everyone nationwide! Two thirds of us would be on the chopping block. Best case only half of us lose. So is this another game of walk the sale? Guess the cherry picking game is on again. How do I manipulate numbers to not get in trouble? That watch sale only pays me $50 sales dollars I think I'll pass because it hurts me in too many other places. Nope, I'm good on new lines and this port would just raise my PT sales dollar target that I just hit. I think you can find that case cheaper on Amazon it's the last day of the month. You want me to multitask with two customers.. ahhhh no. It's an age old verizon game of fluff the metrics. What is the message you are trying to tell me? The harder I work to satisfy the long line of waiting customers in a timely manner the better chance I have of getting fired!! I have to consider what I sell? This is team selling?? Another great VZW incentive. And if you mention ARD to me again then you are lying to me. It means nothing. I can't even look up my own signal totals! This is what happens when you put analytics people in charge of sales. You force people to do the wrong things and wonder why. I am truly lost and piissed. Some people need to keep this job and don't want to get fired for selling the wrong items. The list of people wanting to stay grows shorter each day. Selling in this or any environment is hard enough. Yet you have my manager telling me to chase ghosts. Team commissions gives me one target, my manager preaches another and my job depends on a third target. Pure garbage.

I can't wait till they try to write me up for this!!!! I have discussed this with everyone in my store and we are ready to walk. Enough BS VERIZON!
Honestly just sell na--d phones all day. Who cares. Whats the worst that can happen when you dont hit your unrealistic metrics? They give you a warning? Then maybe a write up? Dont you need like 5 write ups to get fired anyway? Its fine Ill just sign it "Daffy Duck" like I did the last time they tried to write me up for something d-mb. Tell custy's to buy direct from phone manufacturers for a better deal so you dont have to help them. This is the game verizon rigged so find a way to show your appreciation to them.
never thought i would see a day where too many transactions worked against you and upgrades dont count for s**t. You get penalized for doing to much and go backwards on your stupid contribution % smdh
Whoever does strategy is an id--t. WOW!
It's obvious and apparent that the amount of transactions that generate an order number count against you and lower your bars. So if you are being handed these transactions what do you do? Just freeze in place and not do anything and act like you are inept? Say you are out of everything at all times minus what you see on the walls? "Oh but your hourly anon" Ok so my hourly pays me to help customers but the Bars, colors and meters hold me accountable go against helping customers. Plan change, CLNR, sim change, feature removal, he-l even a bill pay on your tab all count against you to lower your bars or make them harder to achieve.
Once everyone figures out the incredibly slow reps are the ones not getting write ups and the rest follow suit sh!t will hit the fan.
Sadly managers can’t do anything about the slow folks. Our urgency (for those that have it) isn’t appreciated.
We don’t get paid enough to stress like we are.
Verizon always gives us the tools to “succeed” we just have to figure out how to use them and work the system. Should we need to do this? No... but here we are.
Spot on OP sucks that people are just now realizing this.
However the real conspiracy is how could they not see that this is how it works or what it promotes. Begs to ask if they know and are doing it on purpose.
Hey don’t let them bs you. You can’t be held accountable until next month. This month literally means nothing. Going forward however your on your own
Also when you do your contribution standards form with your manager the part where it says “what support do you need “ that’s your get out of jail free card. So if your opportunity is tmp, say you need managers help closing tmp and you don’t hit tmp with no help not your problem. That document goes to hr.
Cover your a$$
Yeah I was wondering I had noticed things like this. They are doing some shady sh-t that's for sure.
I sell something that makes them revenue but can get me fired. Smart and well thought out.
So quit.
This 1000% stupidest thing ever, individual targets on team pay.
This is 100% accurate information. It is disgustingly accurate.
