Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

May 2nd-The day we make our stand

Spread the word and close the stores. It’s now or never to make a stand and let our voices be heard. I don’t want to hear anyone complain on this forum if you’re not willing to take action. Call out.

Its a fact that workers pay dues when they are apart of a union, but dues are just that, dues!, PAYING YOUR FAIR SHARE. some folks paid dues and some didn't.(those that didn't, didn't get fired) FACTS! being apart of a Union isn't about dues although that helps run the organization. dues are certainly not the focus and its not as high as most thinks (or what the company tells) especially in comparison to what the company is taking from you. company scares about dues, what do they care about what you do with your money when they are taking more from you than you think or know. WHY do you think the U word scares the company? why do you think they go so hard against it, if its your RIGHT? think about that. I would rather pay my fair share of dues to know that IM NOT AN AT WILL EMPLOYEE (getting fired for no reason) and know that if I have a problem with management on any degree that I have people/organization that have me back.. ill take it a step further, I rather pay my dues to know that I have the ability to sit at the table with upper management and negotiate working standards

first off get your facts straight . you dont get fired for not paying dues. and Brooklyn reps dont get paid less because of dues. dues are only 2% of your base.. get your facts straight.. although union members have same comp plan they are NOT AT WILL EMPLOYEES, if you know what that mean. while other workers got their CEI taken away BROOKLYN REPS negotiated that the average CEI amount for the year secured in their based pay. THATS FACTS(WHICH Was about 2k).Brooklyn members have a contract with the company and guess what, because of that they get to opportunity to negotiate unlike non union folks. Believe all the company tell you if you want. and if this is whats being told you maybe you should be your own research because what you are saying is CERTAINLY NOT FACTS. if you know you know!!!

Brooklyn employees make less because they are forced to pay union dues or get fired. They are on the exact same comp plan minus union dues. Fact.

Call out on May 2nd. Or simply do as little and possible and dare them to fire you. Look hard for better job elsewhere. Walk off and tell them to shove it. Lots of good options, just don’t keep taking it from them hoping it’s going to get better. It’s clear to anyone that it’s going to keep getting worse.

who ever wrote that Brooklyn employees lost thousands by forming a union, U dont know what you talking about . only if you knew how much Brooklyn employees gained verses non union employees. if you know you know. last time I checked Brooklyn employees get paid more base salary wise compared to the rest of the country. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR CEI ? if u know you know.

Just like a union organizer, asking us to give up pay. Brooklyn employees lost thousands and ended up worse off thanks to your nonsense. Go back to your union hall and eat the food bought with all the members dues. Never again.

We have reps running to greet even if they’re engaged with customers while the SMS are in the back or at the back pos Bull– sh—g or at least one left early if they opened and the GM is not there. So unfortunately this is not going to happen on this location . They’re happy about the training of becoming a key holder also, so no call outs on that Sunday here.

No one is going to do that and I think it’s my day off anyway... Go join and union and then go on strike if you feel that way.
