Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Do they have the right insight?

The person who wrote that they would love to see those at the top spending a week, 40 hours in a retail store instead of a regular worker, has led me to think that those at the top may have no insight at all into what the situation is down here. Maybe they think the situation in the stores is different than it really is. I don’t want to presume anything, but I wonder if those at the top have the right information about what it’s like for us ordinary employees.

Obviously wrong insight. Invite everyone to come on down and come in. Sign them in and start helping them. We have a faction of the people. We can't do the same business as before. So du–b. It's not 2009 KB. People can't wait in most stores either! Get better consultants.

I think they do but are in the middle of organizational change. They are transforming retail into an agent unified model. They'll keep high volume stores over time, but many will be replaced. Those people that cannot transition will be left behind. Like it or not. TMO already did it and ATT is in the middle right now. Theses are not just Verizon changes but industry changes.

True.Top being out of touch is Very common.They rely too much on regional managers or a few people to unform them.A smart ceo or top manager would do secretshopper types of activities.They would be like Undercover Boss on t.v. And conceal identity,work different jobs and different locations unbeknownst to ALL to see,hear,Experience what is Reality at their biz site/sites.Ceos should have email and site setup for employees to comment,suggest,or vent.The so–called little people are v.I.p.s because we are boots on the ground,gatekeepers,and eyes and ears for the paperpushers.This should be rewarded.

None of those big brain mo--ns have left their house for over a year and a half, they're doing what they do best and just reading reports, and circle jerking each other's ideas. It's very blatant they're out of touch and very obvious why
