Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

You can’t get rid of Bain parasites

I see HP – HPE and HP – cannot get rid of the Bain parasites. Bain was hired during the compaq merger many many years ago to help with reorgs and efficiencies basically many lay–off programs which ultimately ki–––d the only HP while making Bain rich. Hp couldn’t get rid of the Bain parasites after that.

It is comical to see the same Bain company consultants are now joining HPE and HP as Chief strategy officers, strategy people. My god when is it going to end? Are the board and management this clueless? What has having Bain as strategy consultants done to HP in the last 20 years in terms of strategy? Negative right. Rey obvious. The. Why are these bozos bringing the same people on board to run strategy.

Clueless bastards, just milking shareholders money!

Hp is not making money by hiring Bain consultants. Bain has been with hp Since the compaq merger by the way. Just look at he’s trajectory since then. Do you know who is making money. Incompetent executives, board and the consultants they are hiring.

Now, the hp management is bringing Bain consultants on board as full time strategy employees. Stupidly knows no bounds.

HP(I/E)'s job is to make money. How, is irrelevant.

By the way, Cisco has some horrible ex–hp people.

I think that among the management consulting companies, Bain is the worst, and has the biggest conflict of interest. Just check, The companies that hired Bain first can’t get rid of them. Bain finds a way to put other Bain people to the board of directors and influence exec hiring and promotions.

Bain capital is a total conflict of interest. Bain invests in companies, in technology as well as in other sectors. If you look at any company that used Bain exclusively for a long time, I.e. hp, intel, Cisco have turned into total sh–t shows. No strategy. No growth. Constant layoffs...I don’t know how those companies justified hiring Bain year after year even with no result.

On top of it, the same companies are hiring Bain consultants as their strategy officer. Don’t work for HPE, hp, Cisco, any other that hired and maintained Bain. Stay away.

Bain were also hired by cisco about 6–7 years ago. They were responsible for firing many leaders and engineers. Outsource and fire employees. Bring money from overseas and distribute to shareholders and bonus to executives
