Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Customers hate Verizon... The numbers speak loud

In the first quarter
Verizon LOST 178,000 wireless customers
Verizon LOST 82,000 TV subs

But still made money.. how is that? Adding more to accounts of customers. Slamming the extras..

I will never understand giving a quote for the most expensive plan with a bunch of add ons. Sure a few will take that, but most won't. Just like in care, leadership says lead with VZ Protect. I don't, I give the customer all their options and ask them which one fits their needs. 90% of the time they take something. The times I only offered VZ Protect they will decline 99% of the time and I still have to pitch the other options. Seems to me VZ would do better to present a quote with a bare minimum, middle of the road and then the highest option. Isn't that the reason we offer all these different unlimited plans? Because one size doesn't fit all? For those that keep doing it the way leadership tells you to do it, stop! Use some common sense and offer a couple options to your customer and I can pretty much guarantee you that your customers will pick something and that's better than them walking out the door. When leadership confronts you, at least you'll have the sales to back yourself up.

Verizon is so expensive. Not sure why customers don't see this. Guess they love throwing money out the window.

If we all took a tally of how many new lines walked because the quote was astronomical, we probably would have made up that gap. Let’s slam a quote on other VZ HOMe and our highest plan price and hope they say yes. Sure we can “build value” in the features. Let’s be honest verizon. Your average consumer only cares about cost. This doesn’t take a VP or millions of dollars to figure out.

I wonder if all those people that left expected to have this glorious 5g network that we promised? Oh wait.....it's not available in your area is it? What a joke......

Paying employees significantly less, that's how they still make money.

Losing TV subs is understandable. Cord cutters going to NetFlix and Amazon.
The wireless subs are leaving because VZ is too expensive.

Maybe VZ made it up on Fios?
