Say you take 2 weeks off aka 80 hours but you can only cover 60 hours. Will the remaining 20 hours be unpaid or will it be 20 hours taken from your ppto?

I have looked on the wire and have found nothing. I'm fulltime on block scheduling with Tues and weds off. I was told I could not take unpaid time off ever if I want a weekend off due to block scheduling. If I want to take a sat and sun off and don't have much vaca or protected how is that fair I cannot just take unpaid? I'd like to know the correct answer to this. Different stores should not have different rules. Should be consistent all around

You can take unpaid time off as long as that’s what you select. Full time or part time as long as it’s approved. But remember it will affect your accumulation rate for pto and ppto as the accumulation is based off of worked hours so if you take unpaid time off that will slow the accumulation rate.
I do it too. But I request days off by selecting PTO than select '0' hours. Just keep track of your hours so you don't loose your Full Time status. If you've been FT since BEFORE Jan 1, 2002 than you only have to average 28 hours a week. If it's been since AFTER Jan 1, 2002 than you have to average 34 hours a week. The average includes both the hours that you work AND the hours of pto/ppto that you use.
Full time can take unpaid I do it all the time I take one full weekend a month as I am off Sunday and Monday. I take one Saturday once a month to get a 3 day weekend and I take it unpaid. But to answer your question they will take it from your ppto
If you put unpaid it will be unpaid but if you put pto it will take it out of your ppto.
Full time can take unpaid time off.
