Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Some people are not self-critical at all

This company has many things that need to be fixed, perhaps more than good things that are worth staying here for, however, very often those who bring the least value to the employer complain. Everyone who had any value has long since left here because their skillset is relevant to the job market. This maybe sounds like cheerleading, but it’s true.

I left during the last great volunteer workforce reduction in 2020. I'm so glad I did. I landed another job making 20% more with large bonuses. The company I work for now, has it's act together. HPE pays way below the national average. HPE is nothing but chaos and misery.

I have a hard time understanding gratitude towards a company (that relies on its survival on regular layoffs too).
Man, you have simply being paid for the job you did, that's not a present to be thankful about.
You have been giving your time, what won't come back, for over 30 years to HPE (or another one, doesn't matter) and you got paid for that, end of the story.
You ain't got anything for free, just saying.

Let's just realize this simple fact, people making money big time are way above the "common" employees.

Personally, when I see a company behaving like that, again and again, in my point of view that's not a healthy place where to be.
Just my option of course.
Peace and fingers crossed.

Totally agree. I have been at HP/HPE for over thirty plus years. I am forever grateful for the life this company has provided for my myself and my family. I will have no regrets the day I leave whether by my choice or the companies.

Either you're unaware of what "good money" means out there in the current job market, or you're at VP level compensation. The salaries at HPE are fairly below market where I'm at (NC), and have heard the same from my CA colleagues.

That's quite an overstatement. Many people like me stayed because it was good money. Not every high performer has left. There are still tons at HP.

If you are making good money, why stop before you need to? Now when you get walked out, don't look back. There is nothing there. If you are looking for anything other than money, you are a fool.

Money. That's why we are all there.
