Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

I LOVE VERIZON. ONE TEAM, & FORWARD TOGETHER!

I’ve never seen such a shameful group of individuals like the ones I have encountered on this board. No one is FORCING you to work for VERIZON! Put a sock in your mouth and throw your devices out the window if you feel so much disdain for the company. Just a bunch of lazy bastards, and whiners who can only criticize others for licking the boot, and drinking the kool-aid but never make an impact in anyway shape or form for their respective teams when it really counts. If you didn’t see the writing on the wall 5 years ago, then your just as naive as they come for believing Verizon was going to pay you 70k-90k a year until you retire. WRONG!!! It’s time to strap in and enjoy the ride or just SHUT UP!

Must be a sh–––y salesperson that couldn’t make money on the old structure. D to be one of those that sat in the back and now is making more on the backs of those who can sell.

And what would you be doing exactly? To the executive below trying to sound hip and, how I imagine an executive would assume one of us lowly sales reps would sound, that’s commented on 10 different posts on here within a 20 minute time frame calling people “nuts” and acting shocked they cash a paycheck that says “cellco” on it. You make it to easy to spot you because you dont have a clue what you’re talking about, per usual. And yeah, that 1100$ stock check really saved our lives thank you so much for having us in mind when you did that, I’ll totally forget about how i can’t pay my mortgage anymore due to unfair and illegal RIS surveys for accounts that weren’t even commisionable. Tell me, how much was yours? Did your paycheck get hit too or are you just getting paid to go through this layoff site and call us all bootlickers and refer us to Verizon and Amazon for employment? As if we would make it that easy for you. Get a life.

First, who actually goes to a companies board on there that they don't work for. I for one have never went to another companies layoff board. In fact I paused there and just went to the ATT board and it was irrelevant. Obviously this OP is employed by the company, so there is the implications of that and what their role in the company may be. The other option is it's someone whom was laid off, VSP, fired or RIF just trolling because of the saltiness.

Wow OP, you’ve got some built up anger. Why did you seek out an anonymous platform predominantly used by disgruntled employees if you are SO happy? There must be people on your team that feel differently than you, and it’s impacting your workplace. I’m glad you are happy with Verizon, but just because you are happy it doesn’t mean everyone is. That’s the thing about being on a TEAM, the entire operation is supposed to move FORWARD together.

Let me ask you OP, how is telling your team to shut up helping drive results? At least people that are complaining are talking about the problems, which is the first step in finding a solution. No one responds well to the “if you don’t like it then leave” attitude you have. I would much rather be on a team that openly discusses things that need change than be on a team of people like you. The ones talking about the problems are exhibiting transparency and hopefully brewing creative ways to actually implement change, that I’m sure you will benefit from. It takes no intellect, much less actual work, to tell someone to shut up. Maybe you should ask yourself if it is YOU that isn’t the team player.

1 person ok just a complainer salty employees. Entire boards, groups, stores, areas and even news articles getting written about the complete lack of a brain in the heads of this company. However this is there plan. Hence why today on the VCG ama on slack. The main brainless scape goat of retail kept doubling down on how RIS is fair even when asked about Reps loosing money over surveys that have nothing to do with them. She really doubled down, added a bunch of corp speak and jargon and then avoided the question. I sense politics in her future.

If people only knew what severance agreements cover up it wouldn't be considered a top place to work. They use those strategically.

What are the odds this is someone working from home aka DM or above. I would say nothing less than 100%

I still have friends and my team who still work at Verizon. I worry about them and when they will be effected by the upcoming cuts and changes that are coming.

You might not be brainwashed but from your anger something is not right. I'm sure you have a future in the toxic place known as Verizon. Who would want to go forward together with someone like you

It is very sad how hateful people are.

It is clear that many are unhappy with Verizon, the number of people who have left on their own in 2021 is amazing. On the other hand Verizon has some loyal employees, I was one of them until I was blindsided by a layoff.

I should have seen it coming. I also would always look for the positivity and did not see what was happening right under my nose.

I got my yearly raise on day then next day I was out.

It was the best thing that ever happened to my professional life. I was motivated to look and found a job with better pay, benefits and management.

So, I understand your rant. My advice is just understand that you might have been a little brainwashed.

Wow you got the good Kool Aid.

Just like customers don't need to support Verizon. They a running away.. guess what less customers means less need for you.. get ready.

BTW you don't have to read this board.
