Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

April layoffs are unusual

It seems like the layoffs for the last few years are usually in March? Ax-man's post sounded like he really knew they would be in April this year. I am wondering if management was waiting for some things, maybe SCOTUS ruling? or big deals?

If so, things are not looking good. I think there are still layoffs coming this month.

Yeah, but aside from the toxic sludge reported in this and other threads, Oracle is a wonderful, supportive and fulfilling place to work!

Not sure where you all get your info. Oracle cuts when they want to cut, there is no usual. I’ve seen them in January, June, and August. Not always cost cutting, sometimes a reorg/restructure.

SC typically pulls the trigger on her howitzer before the end of the quarter.

Anyone else pulls the triggers on their sniper rifles anytime within the quarter.

In your case they’re making an exception.
