How to Ruin Retail for Dummies + solutions

They don't have enough people to run the stores. I saw a new store flow model that has 2, 3 and 4 reps working with days closed and fluctuating store hours based on who shows up!! So laughable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need to write a book about this one: How to ruin retail for Dummies.

Solution-

All stores close on Sundays.
All stores 10am-6pm (to properly staff and help the customers)
If you are going to have appointments, clearly inform your customer base how you do business.
Hire full time people (vs paying OT)
Get SMB reps in the store
Focus on the customer
Stop creating road blocks
Stop preaching about volunteering

Laughable

Why in holy hell do we have 4 unlimited plans?

Just have 1 plan with 1 price and add discounts, this shouldn't be that hard but this company over thinks everything!!

SMB is not looking good right now. They put them in the Channel Business Org which handles resellers, co sell, distributors, system integrators, I2B, master agents, etc. Basically all forms of agency sales but they have a direct Corp channel with them. That’s just telling people that Direct Retail and Direct B2B don’t want them and they are using Channel Business to stash them.

I am not sure about SMB either. They got thrown into the Channel Business Organization which handles all partner activities that include resell, distribution, system integrators, co sell, buy and sell through, I2B, Business Distribution, etc. All are part of an agent model but we have a direct SMB Corp format there. That’s just saying Direct Retail, Direct Business, and B2B don’t want them. They are stashing them. Do you retail think Channel Business that handles all forms of Agency wants a direct sale compete model with them?

SMB reps aren’t in the store because they’re next in line for the guillotine.

The rest of that stuff they’ll never do because they have their plan on motion. It’s over man, sorry.
