I see a lot of posts here where people write that they were degraded and humiliated while working here. Sad. Luckily, I don’t have that kind of experience here yet, but I haven’t been in the company for long so I don’t even know a lot of things. It's not that this is the job of my dreams, I'll leave when I gain some experience, but I'm happy that I haven't experienced anything that bad so far.

So...the nonsense I went through-- fortunately now-- a few years ago, I left humana, left the state,
'Ville scenario 1:
had a coworker-- & others on the team, complain they were 'allergic' to a certain lo---n I had. She was melodramatic, caused visit after visit with the FLL. Then more junk came from the other 'teammates'. It was clear I wasn't wanted & they were willing to do anything to get me out.
Humana teamwork, at its finest. Thrilled & grateful to not be a part of any of this mess anymore. Take care of yourselves...H won't.
Another state, scenario 2:
OCD, perfectionistic, micromanaging maniacs out of NY...NEARLY WORSE than the 'ville itself. Nearly. they were demeaning, gave the 'oh we are so glad you are here....' and I could feel knives behind my back.
The first melodramatic gal was black. Most of the folks on the 2nd team were anglo. ALL were ridiculous, self-serving and would throw anyone 'under a bus' as the popular phrase goes up there...to make themselves stand taller.
Seriously, ladies and gents, if you are not appreciated, respected....safe. GET THE X-X OUT!! H only sees $$ signs, however, it is earned, and they are belly-up with this 'regime'.
Have you ever worked with the CTC team out of Louisville? Their leadership thrives on demeaning people including those that report up to them and IT. Good ole boys club.
I am a member of the white majority that founded and fought for this nation. Im also a member of the unwoke conservative right. I worked for humana for approximately 12 years. Over the past 10 years Marxist ideology has been slowly creeping into the Humana management ideology. Until, at this stage, it is a diverse mess of wokeness. I do hope people realize that woke is just another word for marxist. The strategy is to use race as a pretense to create conflict while ushering in a reset of marxist 'values'. Ultimately I was forced to quit my job over the conflict of management style. Also I am not a communist. I was constantly targeted by my supervisor over any minor infraction. I found this to be very demeaning and childish. Minority workers would make up things about me and report them to my supervisor. I finally began to fight back. Whenever a falsely exaggerated incident was brought to my attention I countered back by making a counter claim of equal proportion. I recommend this strategy to all my co workers. Fighting fire with fire does work. Additionally my audits began to be unfairly graded. This was a constant source of stress. I felt under siege working at Humana. It became very tedious and was making me ill. I finally quit to work as a home interior designer and have become very successful. I am far removed from Humana and their health care games
I worked at Humana back in 2013. I visited the headquarters in Louisville. It’s predominantly white employees. I can only count three minorities in that huge facility. I introduced myself to a finance executive and he was surprised when he saw me. He came by afterwards and told me that in my country he is called a gr---o. And I am an American. Yes, I am not white but I am not even Mexican decent. I found it so uncomfortable. He even put me on the spot at a meeting infront of everyone and asked me if I knew US GAAP. There is really something wrong with him.

Humana and more have sold out their employees, their members and their nation. They will lie, lie, lie, lie and lie again.
I have been with Humana over 10 years and in the last 2 years the “racial” tension is on eggs because of over sensitive actions. Quit playing race card, do your job. They are now shoving cultural diversity down throats and now if white you are more at risk of being laid off and less chance of promotion
I read recently that the expression 'Color Blind' is just another microaggression. This how I do it. I interview candidates who meet the 'essential' role criteria and also those who have any of the other skills listed as beneficial. At that point I don't know the race or culture. During interview, everyone gets the same questions which are decided pre–interview, at that time we don't know the demographics of the applicant.. To date I have hired an even mix of Hispanic and African Americans, This has happened for one reason. On paper and in interview they were the best candidate. Humana is making subtle undertones that we must use affirmative action when recruiting and or promoting people. Why the change. I have followed Humana's employment guidelines for almost 8 years. If those practices were not culturally sensitive THEY have to take responsibility, not I. I have followed and even taken steps to ensure we get a good cultural mix on my teams. I am not color blind. If you are able to do the same job and be part of a multicultural team you have an opportunity to get hired. When you're on the team you will get the same equal opportunity. I don't owe anyone a greater opportunity because they are not white and being white will give you no advantage over another associate. I am 100% forbidden from using subjective bias and when final interview assessments are completed I have to justify not employing one person over another. I have to clearly state why one candidate was chosen. I have been questioned over this decision process many times in 8 years. HR is very strict in ensuring compliance with all equality legislation but also in ensuring that the spirit of that movement is followed. The comments I receive about my management style have included several things. At no time have I been accused of racial bias or cultural insensitivity.
I am not unique. My survival in this organization has been based on results. Both productivity and Associate feedback is used to evaluate any leader...
Humana is demonstrating a knee jerk reaction to the current political reaction and in doing so offending those of us who have made every effort to ensure equality based on race, gender, orientation and ADA status.
Humana is alienating many of it's middle management by suggesting that we have created a biased and systemically racist structure. We have followed Human Policies and Values and used their guidelines. Don't punish me if they failed to implement more progressive rule.
It’s true! Minorities are treated with kid gloves, while others are Not! Yes they write their own ticket, despite the fact they do not even do the minimum! The rest of us work harder to pick up the slack these untouchables leave.! Is Humana afraid of minorities???? A resounding, YES!
Ive never been degraded at Humana. As a matter of fact, as a minority member Im treated with k.d gloves. Minority workers are a growing Humana population, including filipinos, bl...s, and chinese . We could use more hispanics but are hopeful this will soon change. We can pretty much write our own ticket and are rarely held accountable for the mistakes that we make. I highly recommend work at Humana for all minorities. Degraded? Never!
I have been with Humana close to a decade, I’ve had great coaches, so so teammates, work my a-soff and have been exceptional most years and have gotten raises each year, It comes out to be over 20%. My 401k is healthy. I’m employed, I have opportunities to advance. It’s not the right job/situation for everyone, but my experience has been good, and the help we provide the members is good. It’s not always Humana, but Medicare and Medicaid that sets the rules and Humana is just the messenger of it all.

I am so happy working for Humana. Every day is a picnic. My supervisor is an angel sent from heaven. Humana's medicare policies make the world a better place to live in. I am so happy that Humana has decided to offshore jobs. They are always looking out to help those less fortunate. Everyone that I talk to has nothing but praise for Humana. I love working the long hours that I do. I am hopeful that someday I will see a raise. Ive been with Humana for over twenty years. I hope I will be here for another 20. Bless you CEO for being such a kind and caring person. We all believe that you looking out for our interest!
