When unqualified people aren't in charge of making it that way. That essentially means when merit outweighs politics. Given that leadership either got their positions by either utilizing this vile system or condoning it, there is no way it can be nimble.

Nimble? Pardon me while I laugh. You can't turn a battleship around in a bathtub!
Maybe when they look for ways to take redundant/unneeded processes and committees out rather than continuing to pile them on. Haven't seen that since I worked at a supplier. Too many folks at GM writing rules and policy that have never done the job before. Hmmmm, sounds kind of like our government? Its also like there are too many old, f▯t and happy people that like to hide there incompetence behind process and procedure to avoid accountability. Until that also changes not expecting anything new either.
They say GM d–d with Albert P. Sloan
General Motors wins bailouts
"GM ALWAYS WINS!!!!"
Not against Nader...

to be truly nimble like "the competition" you need TONS of money, a monopoly, the ability to break laws at will, secret spy powers, a cultified brainwashed customer base, massive data dominance, and a psychopathic heartless fascist borglike corporate mindset like Facebook, Amazon, Twitter, and some others. when will GM have that grasshopper?
GM ALWAYS WINS!!!!
GM is straight out of the 1950s. They are molding young managers into the managers of old, using non-transparent operating methods in the spirit of Albert Sloan.
"Sloan preferred spying, investing in an internal undercover apparatus to gather information and monitor labor union activity."
“Nimble and “General Motors” have never been used in the same sentence before.
The only thing those people are nimble at is bullying others into early retirement. Sometimes it takes too long for a layoff to come up so you have to take other measures.
