The only jobs in usa the bank is actively hiring as FTE usa candidates is for front office jobs.
Every single back office job that is FTE are ONLY FTE if the candidate speaks tagalog or hindi, but mostly hindi, and who dont live in usa. The few USA candidates who are are hired are ALWAYS contractors.
If only there were some EEOC law that sanctioned companies from persistent discrimination against american applicants.
My group is in the process of moving maintenance work to India by August. We were told this was a good thing because the work will be going to Wells Fargo employees and not contractors. I doubt they will stop there.
My ~75 person team is currently training our replacements in Manila. So far they’ve told us only 1/3 of our jobs will go, but I know the rest will follow soon after the first team is trained.
