This is certainly the case in Pepsico, but also in other companies in general, that employees with a lot of experience are laid off or in many ways forced to leave on their own because at some point they become too expensive for the company. I wonder where these more experienced people go from Pepsico? Not many companies want too expensive employees. Or is it that they have to significantly reduce their criteria if they want someone to hire them?

You’ll be surprised how low Pepsi pays. While at Pepsi, I was told I maxed out. I got layoff. No longer at Pepsi and making 30% more with my new company plus they even offer bonus!
That’s a dumb–sumption. “Great Companies” recognize real value add are willing to pay for it. What’s more, “integrity” for a great company is not just a buzz word thrown around at town halls and on social media marketing ploys. Great companies demonstrate it in their actions everyday, they don’t need to try and convince everyone they are great. Pepsi’s hiring process and employee treatment now resembles one of the oldest professions on the planet.
Consulting. You might be surprised as to how lucrative it can be and how much experience with a large company is valued in the consulting universe.
