I've been meaning to post this for a while...I've worked in retail for quite some time and I have worked for many great companies. Macy's is not one of them. Sure, there's the parades, the give backs and the volunteering but that's just smoke and mirrors...ie Magic. When Macy's "voluntold" me that I have an "opportunity for growth" and that decisions need to be made right when your told, that's BS!!! If you don't feel like you wanna get "transferred/promoted than stick your ground. And just be the best Sales/Operations/Floor manager you can be! Don't let them give you a guilt trip for not taking it. IT'S YOUR CAREER! At least, what's left of it....Macy's you need to treat your workers with respect and dignity. Oh wait, do you even know what that is???

They do that on Thanksgiving they try to force you to work one day you’re not obligated to . It’s a scare tactic and then they make your life miserable if you don’t

WOW, this hits very close to home, as I am experiencing this same tactic. Nothing but bullies and brainwashers. Macy's...SMH.
The Red Star can be a very toxic work environment. It jus depends on who you are working for/with. Trust me, there are many Executives that should have gotten the chop and many great ones that did. Stay on your course and surround yourself with colleagues that will support you and make your everyday worth it. There are some great stores out there, and there are som sh–ty ones. It's just all about your well being.
