Letter of resignation

I’m not sure if it’s wise to put motives for leaving in my resignation letter? After 3 months of constant trying, I finally got a great offer. It happened when I had already come to terms with the fact that I would stay stuck here for who knows how long. I came to dislike this company so much that even giving notice makes me sick to my stomach. I’d rather just disappear from here, but I still want to leave in a nice way. I’m not sure what to write in my letter of resignation.

Would you rather be right or be successful? Leave on good terms because you never know who the people you work for know in other companies, it's a small world.

Don’t give them notice and don’t tel anyone you’re planning to leave. The moment you say anything they’ll want you gone immediately.

I was laid off in January and it really made me think about my future and what I want out of a company rather than what a company wants out of me. I landed a new position with major company immediately. Verizon brainwashes employees into thinking, “this is as good as it gets” it’s not true and there is a ton of opportunity out there. I’m looking out for me now, I’m looking out for my best interest: not the company’s. The bottom line is if Verizon is not satisfied with your performance then they will fire you without notice; they’re not giving you two weeks notice. If you’re not satisfied with the performance of Verizon, does it make sense to still give them two week notice? I’d give them three days at best.

Give 2 weeks. If you don't cannot be rehired if ever want. Plus many new jobs in future will ask if ever quite w out notice. Not good. Can verify.

Do what someone in my store did, go to lunch and never come back. This guy was one of the best salespeople we had. But he did not push the credit card, so he was drilled and beat over the head by the SM.

He put his company phone on the managers desk with a lock screen background that said "I quit" want to lunch and never returned.

Just Google a resignation template. It can be full of fluff and BS just like Verlieson is.

Resignations are for executives. Hourly employees just quit.

In a case like that, it's best to just state the facts and keep it simple.

This is to inform you of my intention to resign as $myTitle, two weeks from now. XX/XX/XXXX will be my last day. Please let me know if I can be of assistance with transitioning my tasks, etc... Thank you for the opportunities.

Resist the temptation to be anything but positive here.

I mean I would be professionally as honest as possible. But not like anybody's going to listen because if they listened or even had an eyeballs we would never be in this situation in the first place, the sinking ship of Verizon
