Lifting masks talktrack - is it even HIPPA compliant?

So as everyone seemingly already knows.. Masks in retail are going away as long as you've been fully vaccinated.

This doesn't bother me. Whatever. The talk track we've been instructed to use just barely skirts the line it HIPPA and I'm frankly wondering if it even violates it?

We were told to more or less tell someone who comes in without a mask . "Here - I can provide you a mask to wear if you're not fully vaccinated."

We can't OUTRIGHT ask about their vaccine...but I can sure skirt the issue and now be lied to about it?

And rto is being updated to reflect vaccines as well? I give it 6 months until it's "optional mandatory" for us to get the vaccine.

I don’t even know how they can legally ask if we have been vaccinated. Isn’t that similar to asking someone if they have HIV?

Just lie on the RTO and say you are vaccinated. There is no legal way they can ask for proof. D-mbest thing I have ever heard of.

I’m not asking anyone anything. Starting tomorrow I don’t care if a customer comes in without a mask. I will continue to wear mine but everyone else can do as they please.
