Well...for those of you whom read the other 2 posts, here's the conclusion. I was informed that the company's stance on part timers whether new hires or existing part timers, if you work either the 32 or 24 hr slot, you have to AVERAGE 24 or 32 hrs for the entirety of the year. So even though it states "Up to 24 hrs" because the word "Generally" is in front of that, they say if business needs requires me to work more than the hours I signed up for, I'm obligated to because it's a part of the Credo 2.0 and I have to fulfill business needs. I'm hurt not gonna lie, in the sense of being defenseless at this point 😪 I have no idea what I want to do past Verizon, but something new will appear on the horizon. Best wishes to all of you who like me switched from full time to part time, or if you are coming in new to the company, expect the unexpected and be prepared to work more or leave it all. Either way no one is going to bat for you. I literally lost thousand of dollars thinking it would be cool to work less and still have a good living, now I have to work more for others incompetence and for less money ey on top of that. I am done. No more schedule posts. I will continue to be active here though to share whatever I encounter or learn.

You are hearing nonsense if they are telling you about an “average”. The guidelines are very clear, they must ask YOU for permission to schedule you in excess of your standard hours, even during increased business periods. Get your HRBP involved.
Just do what my store did. We just all call out. Oh well. We are all getting fired by the end of the year anyways. What does it matter? I already took a pay cut.
Part time hours back fired on the company. Great plan decrease full time employees to part time. Show all those d-mb videos brain washing people about how great it is. And then with another great move don’t hire anyone. More Part timers with less employees. It has to be sabotage so they can convert us to indirect. Our executives can’t really be that out of touch, can they? It must be a way to justify closing more stores and making things so bad that people will quit without out a package. Hmmm?? A company this big does everything with a purpose and is well thought out years in advance. Oh yea and longer hours are coming!! LOL
I would but they schedule 3 weeks ahead.
Just say you already have pre-planned commitments on the additional days they ask you work. They can’t ask you what those are anyways.
Glad I didn't step down. I was considering it to have more time away from the nonsense that is retail.
