For those of you whom have seen my previous post, I received a response to my email with my screenshot of policy stating that as a part time SS I would work "up to 24 hour" he countered by saying it states "Generally" so due to that phrasing if business required me to exceed 24 hours, I would have to comply with the schedule. As I previously pointed out, I went from full time to part time willingly, and now they want me to work more than the "cap" of 24 hours without giving me the pay or the benefits of a 32 hr part time rep or 40 hr full time rep. We discussed in detail how the word generally means that some weeks he may need me less than 24 hours, most weeks he would need me for the full 24 hrs, also "based on business needs" usually means being able to work whenever scheduled (like nights, weekends, mornings, whenever) not that I have to cover for others not present or on vacation or on leave. If my GM is not using his resources to his best ability, then I refuse to facilitate his effort by compromising my peace. I'd be glad to work as a 32 hr part time rep now as In my state, 32hrs is considered full time employment which would give me more pay, more benefits, time off, bilingual bonus pay etc...the only "perk" of being a 24 hr rep is the low quota and being off 3-4 days, besides that I put up full time numbers regardless. I'm blue across the board. If I was a poor performer or was super unprofessional I would understand, and even then I feel it would be wrong. So in the end we agreed to disagree and he said he would follow up with HR to confirm what he was telling me was correct, but I plan on taking this to HR myself if he doesn't figure things out for himself. I'm sure the company can see the conflict with their verbiage versus his. Any suggestions? He also told me that I cannot move back up to 32 hours unless a slot becomes open and I have to apply within store and also interview for it against potential internal and external hires. I was under the impression I couldn't move back up to 40, there was never a mention of 32. But we shall see. I will keep everyone posted. For those of you saying I'm whining, I'm really not, I'm protecting myself. This is just how I document my day. I forget things and this really helps with accuracy for facts versus emotion. Dealing with incompetent leaders gets to you day after day. I need a reference point to look back to. Thanks yall, good or bad either way.

Call or text to help pay your union salary? Union soliciting at it's worst. Annoying like the spam calls. A sign that you have nothing of value to sell.

Store scheduling seemed a lot easier when we had all full time people, commission that was exciting and employees excited about money.
Yet another reason we need to unionize.
Yeah that don't really make sense if your part time going over your hours and not getting full time benefits. I mean if you work 40 hours a week or more that's full time.
