Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Verizon 2.0 is really the new Sprint. Before Verizon I worked at Sprint at its peak and I left when it went downhill. They got rid of all the Assistant Managers, made us all key holders, GMs sometimes covered 3+ stores, reduced compensation, and we had not one but 2 customer surveys that we were held accountable for. It was a hot mess, employees stopped taking pride in their work and all the good talent bounced to the competition. Verizon don’t get over confident. Go90, Hum, AOL, Yahoo, overpaying executives, losing experienced loyal employees, disrespecting employees, depending on indirect stores to represent the brand, less incentives for top performers, and leaders stabbing each other in the back to save their jobs are all signs of self implosion. This feels all too familiar from my last days with Sprint. Unfortunately in the future companies will probably use Verizon as an example of what not to do. Too bad I remember how Verizon was a leader in this industry and all the Sprint reps were dreaming of making big bucks at Verizon. Not anymore.
