Sloppy Scheduling

I was a full time employee and for a plethora of reasons decided to drop to part time. As part of me stepping down, my payout was reduced and my "bonus pay" as a Spanish speaker was reduced from 3,000 a year to 1,800 a year (I went from 40 hours to 24) and I've been doing well except for the part where my GM in particular wants me to work OVER 24 hours because "it's business needs". So here's my case: when switching, it states you will be scheduled "Up to 24 hours" meaning that for the considerable part that would be the cap. ANY time I work over 24 hours keeps my pay rate the same. There is literally no incentive to work more for the same pay when I already had to take a pay cut not only cause of the drop, but the commission restructuring as well. I have told my GM I would love to work more hours if he would make me a 32 Hr part timer (40 no longer available, I knew that beforehand) it's a matter of financial appreciation and respect in my view. As a 32 hr part timer my bonus would increase, my commission payout would increase as well, and I'm already hitting full time numbers anyway so performance wouldn't be an issue for me. Am I wrong? My schedule is open meaning I work whenever as long as it's on the schedule and it's 24 hours. I feel like if the company offered a voluntary drop in hours, they could at the least honor their own policy. I was told early on not to exceed my time as it would impact the structure and I could be coached for it, now I have a different GM and since he decided to grant everyone vacation in the same week, he expects me to carry the load everyone else refuses to bare. I wasn't having it. He said he would check the policy but I found it first and sent it to him and the rest of the management team via Email. He spoke to me like he was doing me a favor. As if I needed the hours. If I needed or wanted them, I would request them if available. Again, more hours, more money. I'm not gonna work 34 hours at a 24 hour rate. It's just outrageous!
