Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

What are engineering contractprs paid these days?

Contacted for the same job I once held a year before rif in June, with minor tweaks. Now it's a 9 month contract and downgraded from Band 4 to 3. Systems Engineer at DV. What's the rate HON pays these days? Contract recruiter won't tell me until I do the phone screen.

It's a good gig job to pay the bills until you find something permanent. I've done it.

Honeywell hates contractors because they must pay them overtime. I was told to fire mine because they cost more than $60/hr.
It was cheaper to hire them at 100k and force 20% free overtime.

Where I work now, aerospace engineer contractors make anywhere from $50 to $140 hr depending on years of experience and skill uniqueness.
