Make that 1001 because I quit!! They don’t want seasoned reps that’s been around during the glory days they want little order taking millennials. I’m not sticking around for this sh-t show no more this company does g give two sh--s for any of us
Verizon has someone how found a way to spin any news into something sounding amazing and great, as if they are doing us a favor.
My district keeps losing people including managers in one of the couple left that actually know the job. We have reached they point that people are leaving so fast they are just back fillings SMS with reps that don’t want to be SMS or are not prepared. Just sad verizon.
It's obvious. They expect us to train our replacements. Once the part time new hires are acclimated, they'll dismiss full time employees or find a way to force us to part time as part of their transition to indirect.
It’s about time but unfortunately it’s way too little too late. We have to make room for Han’s 40 million golden parachute. If the executives spent a month in an under staffed store I guarantee you things would be different. At least if we got paid I could deal with it. But they switch our compensation right as the stores are short and I could of ki---d my quota. At least I would have some motivation to show up. Now I’m just getting beat up until I can find another option. I’m out.
Dual stores is such a joke. No advantage to being one and it's basically like you don't have a GM. The time they are actually in store the handful of days you work they are on calls anyways. PS fix the systems. IPAD minis in 2021?
As bad as it is I expect the worst is yet to come. The dual store garbage will be my final tipping point. This is like a bad experiment. I get 2 stores 1 GM and helping the other store if in need but this back and forth stuff is unnecessary. Store flow is hard enough to find a balance and rhythm. To force us to be shuffled is redicilous. I have started my job hunt.
Yes replacing 2000 that quit / got fired with the last wave of store closures.
Can't even transfer stores because I would have to drop to part time. Thanks Verizon. Kind of like how all the reps that went WFH from the over staffed store lay offs, that now WFH but can never promote because they aren't in work from home states. I will gladly take a severance of my high wages for sacrifice of 4 part timers.
Imagine promoting to SM now? You are a glorified babysitter.
If you search it. They are all part time. I'm done. I'm out. I got another offer. I took it. I don't want to leave Verizon, but I can't bet my family's future on this uncertainty. The only way I'd stay is if we unionized, but there's not enough time.
1k hiring in 1500 stores. Everyone gets 15% of a parttime employee
Even with the hiring of 1K workers for corporate retail the stores are still way down from pre covid headcount . I don’t get how they put a positive spin on this ? Verizon literally moved 2k+ reps out of stores to do WFH telesales and CS last year.
I think Verizon has just taken a while to shift its employees culture and now that times are changing, it's finally making folks uncomfortable. At T-Mobile, it was a cesspool of nepotism, a high turnover, and at the time (2-3 years ago) they were already training reps both part time and full time as key holders. They did not do away with assistant managers...instead they played more of the role of enforcers and the GM was the End all be All. It was a micro-management haven. I have had the experience of working for best buy mobile, t-mobile, and Verizon, (All Corporate Locations) and I can tell you that Verizon is operating as a combination of the other two. Team commission structure which is insulting with a "decent" hourly wage, but the full pressure of commission and micromanagement sales. It's he-l for a rep especially if you have a GM that has no order or structure in the store. The fact is the new incoming.ing workforce is garbage that lack respect for themselves and others, think support is only shown in one form, and it's all about them. I'm 29, so not a grumpy old man here, just want professionals in the trenches with me. Not amateurs that think they know it all.
Here comes the teenage customer service. Hold on mam while I finish my tic toc video mam it's still uploading how rude are u.....
Could you imagine being 19 working 24 hours a week and hearing that you might get written up because you didn't sell enough credit cards or home protect. You're better off going to work at chipotle or mc d. Less stress almost same pay
Ours is useless, you get what you pay for, or don’t pay for in this case.
Lower pay,
Part time
Kids
Add part timers, give FT keys, push out management.
