Thread regarding AIG (American Intl Group Inc.) layoffs

Here is the truth that no executive will say out loud:

Not sure why the last post was archived layoff.com? It didn't break any of your rules?

Low level management here. We were on a recent call discussing diversity. AIG is setting quotas for female employees and people of color to try to force diversity. But here is the kicker, these quotas only apply at pay 25 and below, not is the executive circle of trust.

This is the AIG strategy with everything. Divert attention from upper management. When the protests occurred last year, quick give AIG corporate money to NAACP before they start looking at our executive team. LGBTQ+, quick start highlighting LGBTQ+ employees before they start looking at the executive team. Hurry, let's speak out about voting rights and Asian vi-----e before they look at the executive team. PZ just gave himself and his friends 200% and 150% back to back sti bonuses for accomplishing virtually nothing, quick give the workers an extra Friday off for their "wellness". There, see how nice AIG executive are?

Divert attention by saying the perceived politically correct thing over and over, then go about your business of hiring only friends and family for high level positions and continue to loot the company from the top down. The BD strategy was certainly passed down to PZ and he is executing it flawlessly.

In answer to the severance question. One (1) paycheck for each year of service over 5 years. Five years or less, 5 paychecks. Plus one (1) pay for being laid off. You can take lump sum payout or stay on the payroll system. If you stay on the payroll system you can keep you medical until the last pay. 401 and insurances end on your last day and not carried over to the severance pays. Unused EARNED (not what you would have for the year) PTO and STI for whatever part of the year you worked.

I think that is everything.

Agree...Human Resources are just another disposable asset.

When Personnel became HR that was the down slide for the working class. We are disposable resources. AIG is an equal opportunity offender. Does not matter who or what you are.

Been a “low level Manager” in Claims for 5 years. People of color are getting riffed. This is a fact. Women have been riffed. Fact. White people have been riffed. Fact.

If you’re a peon here like me you’re equally unimportant, underpaid and disposable as your colleagues of other races.

Returning to an office would hurt my "wellness" that AIG cares so much about. Thanks for asking, but I won't be returning to the office.

You are all getting this wrong. Yes, AIG is a terrible place run by terrible people, but!

COVID has moved everything to virtual. Use AIG to pay your bills, get insurance and a matching 401k. Then, work on starting a side business or just get another job all together while working remotely at AIG. It depends on what business model you work for, but I know folks that are running businesses while collecting an AIG paycheck and benefits. Its the best of both worlds and when the RIF comes a knocking you celebrate because you already have another income and you can collect severance for time served at this dump.

These people are the true geniuses. Cheers! Bring on the RIFs!!!!!

yes its an age old question. how much money do you really need?

bd is a 73 year old man that looted aig for at least $100,000,000 over the last 5 years. pz and crew are on track for the same type of payday or more before they hit the road.

you preach diversity and equality, yet you give yourselves bonus percentages that no average employee can ever obtain regardless of their performance. you speak of inclusion, yet you only hire friends and family to your inner circle. you ask employees to give of their time and money while you pillage the treasure of aig and only donate money from corporate coffers, not your own.

bd had a ceo to employee pay ratio of 287:1. you really expect employees to believe you are the moral authority when you act like greedy bastards. F'you executive authorities and board of directors, f'you.

people, this isn't about your wellness or diversity. its not about aig200 or making aig a world insurance leader.

no, sorry to say that executive leadership doesn't care about those things. this is about taking over a company that was in bad shape, but had a big revenue stream that could be exploited for personal gain. all these execs have to do is ride it out for a few more years and they sail off like bd did with tens or hundreds of millions. that's it.

don't take it personal that you don't qualify for the friends and family aig lottery that is upper management. just do your piddly job and shut up or find a better company. you know this will end badly for the avergae workers.
