When Sn-t Powell was at Santander he made employees wear red shoes to remind them of injustice. He’s a tool.

I hear ya, and I agree whole heartedly. But I do not see a story about WFC donating money to India anywhere publicly (yet).

If you have ever passed by a branch where they have a bin for collecting canned goods at holiday time you have seen Wells Fargo PR at work.

If you have gone to an ATM and been asked to contribute to the Red Cross for disaster victims, you have seen it.

If you have ever read any kind of social media post or news story about Wells Fargo giving to a charity you have seen it.

Wells Fargo doesn’t do anything for anybody without making sure they get their money’s worth. If somebody else benefits that’s all well and good, but if the bank doesn’t get the credit it doesn’t happen. That’s why we have PR people.

Did they donate money to rebuild the part of Minneapolis burned down (including one of their branches by the way) last summer? Unfortunately it largely remains burned down.

WFC not good at PR at all. I don’t see it anywhere.

Does not cost much and great PR. Lot of Wells employees being affected in India. It’s the least Wells can do.

Wells knows how to make the most of their PR money, gotta give them that.

Wells saves a lot of money from paying people in India instead of paying whiners here. Donate 3 millions is nothing.

WFC donating $3 million to India? Where/when was that announced?

@lwx+1aFHRmSg and WF uses the Foundation to direct its charitable giving. Do you think the foundation has a printing press to make money? Where do you think it comes from?

It's easy to donate when salaries are mere rupees instead of US Dollars. I know the money doesnt come from the same p-t, but in my mind, Wells does community service here so why not India? 3 million US dollars is a lot of money in US and gigantic money to the third world. And yes, India is still third world. Get over it folks.

So U.S. employees can't even buy a fu----g pizza for their team to celebrate success but we got $3 million to donate to India? Can't find supplies, can't get WFH supplies, can't get a 5 year old laptop replaced but by golly we always got millions to shell out to India, Texas (winter storm), and what not. What kind of message does this send to employees?! Buckle down, do more with less, cut expenses, but then spend millions. Do as I say, not as I do!

The donated money comes from the WF foundation- not from the operating budget. The cost cutting is in the operating budget. Pay attention !

Regarding Post ID: @lmz+1aFHRmSg

Always enlightening for someone who is petty and full of hatred to hate on and be petty towards people for being petty and full of hatred.

I personally do not blame the people in India, I blame American corporations for sending or jobs there and “pro-business” politicians for letting them. This is a 20 year thing despite a lot acting like it is a recent thing. Just recent here.

@zfw+1aFHRmSg.
Don’t be petty 3 mils is not a lot for a company like Wells to donate and Wells has plenty of fat that need to trim. Lazy and worthless employees have been taking advantage of Wells long enough! So much hatred and pettiness here. People who are dying in India are poor. They do not work for Wells and they have not done anything bad to you.

I love how he tossed out our need for more diversity as justification, so Wells Fargo's need for us to see the protected class people in the office to prove Charlies comments were not Wells beliefs means now I have to go into the office does it... nice.

We’re cutting expenses but donating 3 million to India. More SMH.

That's right - despite all that is going on and all the fear of layoffs - what we really want to know is what our COO is binge watching. SMH
